Riviera Retreat in Salt Lake with Private Hot Tub and Theater

Very nice property, well stocked, and clean. The only little drawback was the parking. They said it was very limited and no street parking. We were worried because we had family coming from multiple areas and so we had multiple vehicles. It turns out the driveway was pretty large and, with a little creative maneuvering, we fit multiple vehicles.

A few recent guests complained about cleanliness, and I can gladly confirm that the place was very clean, so I think that’s a non issue for future guests.
My only criticism is that the bed of the master bedroom provides no back support and ought to be replaced. Hopefully a future guest can confirm that the bed has in fact been replaced. It seems like this criticism has shockingly not been provided in other recent reviews, and for that reason I’m giving 5 stars, as I don’t think it makes sense to penalize for something that the host may not have any way of knowing about.

The house was great, provided excellent space for coworking and team bonding; kitchen was well appointed. The only 2 drawbacks were 1) alarm had unread messages and incessantly beeped until we cleared them (look a few days -, and 2) many of the lightbulbs were burned out/ did not work.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful home, excellent facilities and very close to the major areas of Salt Lake Valley and close enough to Utah Valley that trips south were not difficult. Only 30 minutes away from Park City, which we enjoyed quite a bit.
We had some extra people (my Aunts & several cousins) over for lunch that was approved by Utah's Best, but it took a while to get the permission. Make sure you ask well in advance and keep all parking off the streets. The 4 car garage was very nice and we really enjoyed having our family reunion there.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place for large groups. The description is spot on that ~20 people is the most comfortable but the house can hold more. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels which can be an issue sometimes with large groups. The beds were really comfortable as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental experience for this property was overall positive and supported 3.5 days of skiing at four local resorts during the stay. The property was clean and minor maintenance items were addressed within hours. The guests appreciated access to the property slightly outside of the normal window with proper communication to the company. Plenty of room was available for multiple guests to have their own space, and square footage in the house doesn't disappoint for a big group. Amenities such as the video room, ping pong table, and a separate basement level meant guests were not on top of each other the whole trip. During our stay, the hot top did not heat above 99 degrees and the fireplace upstairs did not work. The fireplace issue was completely resolved within hours but even after reset of the system, the maintenance attention on the hot tub did not solve the problem. All things considered, this rental experience was more positive than not. The only real issue for the guests during the stay was a hot tub was on the tepid side. While it was disappointing to have that happen since the trip was ski-focused, our group appreciated the quick response on maintenance and overall the house was very clean and rules and notes about technology clearly articulated.

A quick note on technology: the cable TV service was basic and all of the TVs were not set up well for accessing streaming services like Netflix, Prime, etc. (Some were with a bit of work, but not all.) Wireless internet, however, gave multiple guests no problems and was better than average. I'd rate the TVs and other display technology in this house as average after renting ski houses in different areas over a decade.

We all loved this home and the many amenities it provided. It had something to do for everyone. We would rent here again :) We had 2 issues with the property that were dealt with perfectly by management. Being the fall season and recent storms, many leaves had fallen and covered the sidewalks completely making it a walking hazard. The toilet on the main level in the hallway stopped working. I called late the first night and they had maintenance there first thing in A.M. to fix everything. It was appreciated how quickly it was remedied. The hottest outdoors is temperamental and the thermostat seems to not be working. The steps getting into the hotub are not sturdy and could use replacing. Also, I am unsure of the building codes for Salt Lake but there really needs to be railings for the stairways. Many with physical limitations could use help walking up and down the stairs. It really is a safety precaution. The house was clean and cared for with new carpeting. It was very comfortable. I rented through Utah's Best Vaction Rentals and worked with Makayla Wade, she is fantastic and helpful!

This home was just as it was described. The bedrooms were nice and large and the beds were comfortable. There was more than enough shared space for our group to comfortably engage. The basement games provided some activity for us that helped with the bonding. Additionally, the place was very clean, updated, and comfortable. I only heard appreciation for the space and not a single complaint (which is quite a compliment in a group our size and age). Highly recommend this place. Communication with the host was superb as well. They were timely and clear in their communication. They made the check-in and out process very easy and quite safe in the middle of a pandemic. We absolutely loved our stay in this house. Very large, very glamorous--just a great place for moderate size groups. Easily accessible from the interstate highway. It was so nice to have a Walmart around the corner. The master bedroom is huge. The downstairs playroom has almost everything for the game oriented guest. We almost nixed this house because of the picture of the TV/entertainment room, but it actually only takes up a small portion of the house and we spent most of our time in the large living room, where the fireplace really gives off a lot of heat. The backyard is also large, and our grandkids loved running around in it! If you have 10 or more guests, this is the place for you!

Absolute great place to stay. We had family visiting from Las Vegas and Hawaii for my son’s graduation and all stayed comfortably in this house. The house is beautiful, kitchen has lots of utensils and cookware, game room downstairs was a total hit! Theater room was awesome as well, every night someone slept on one of the huge bean bags in there. All around great place to stay and would definitely recommend this place for others! Overall, our stay exceeded all expectations! There were 18 of us. Plenty of space to sleep and enjoy our time there. Walmart around the corner was a plus. Hot tub was hot! BBQ pit worked well. About 30-40 minutes to Park City and less than 20 minutes to downtown SLC. They were replacing the back fence during our stay, so lost a little bit of privacy, but became good friends with the neighbor’s dog. Highly recommend.

We all enjoyed our stay. We loved that everyone had their own room, plus the extra rooms for family or guest that stopped in. Large kitchen, large dining area, spacious living room, beautiful back yard with patio and table, Jacuzzi and barbecue grill and long driveway where you could fit at least 5 to 6 vehicles. We enjoyed it all. There was just few things that needed to be fixed. All you need to do is call customer service. I would recommend this place for any large family to stay at.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented several different vacation rentals for my family over the years, and this house was by far the best. We needed something that would fit my family (2 adults, 5 kids), my brother's family (2 adults, 2 kids), and provide a place for other family members to gather while we were all in town together. Riviera Retreat turned out to be the perfect option. With a private theater room and a large game room (equipped with a pool table, foosball table, air hockey table, ping pong table, two couches, a daybed, and a small kitchen area) downstairs, the kids had plenty to do in the basement while the adults visited upstairs. There is also a big backyard with a large hot tub. The upstairs has four bedrooms (including a master suite), and each upstairs bedroom has a king bed. Along with the theater room, game room, and a bathroom, there are also two bedrooms downstairs. One has a king bed, and the other has two bunk beds. There is also a bunk bed in the theater room. So there plenty of places for people to sleep. There is a Walmart within walking distance and other grocery stores close by to stock up on food and everything you need. Management was very responsive to the few issues we had during out stay. I would recommend the Riviera Retreat to anyone with a big group looking for a fun place to stay.

This was a great space for our company planning retreat. While we did not have many people stay the night, I could tell the space was very clean and we really made use of the movie room where we were able to use the big screen to present and discuss ideas. Overall, it was a great place for us to come together, have room to spread out, and still be comfortable. Would recommend. :D

The property was as described. It was very clean and everything was in working order. It was the perfect place for our family reunion. We loved the large fenced backyard which we used for all sorts of games including water activities since it was so hot outside. We also enjoyed the large game room and theater room.

Thanks S.D. So glad you all enjoyed this incredible property. It's so rare to find such a large open concept home in Salt lake with tile floors and large garage for multi-use purposes. Parking we aren't sure why it's an issue at all, the driveway easily accommodates 6 cars, and 3 more in garage, and 3 along the street. We prefer no parking in the street however. In hot temps, the mostly shaded backyard is such a dream and so fun to play games and enjoy.

There was plenty of floorspace and bedrooms that we all could spread out without being on top of each other. No one minded being confined to the house because we also brought cards, games, puzzles, crafts, and cookie competition. The basement offered plenty of large games to play for the 16 grandkids and the theater room was great for watching movies or games. The back yard was huge and offered ample room for the outdoor games we brought. The hot tub was fun for everyone. Bonus: The house was around the corner and walking distance from the Walmart which we visited frequently to obtain forgotten items or treats. The few minor problems we encountered were taken care of immediately. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a fabulous family reunion.

This house was great for us. We had four families staying here for a wedding in Alta. It was clean with plenty of beds and fun activities (ping pong, foosball, pool, and theater room). The downstairs rooms did get hot (we came during a heat wave) there were fans located in each rooms closet which were appreciated. The one improvement I'd make is the curtains in the room by the front door. The ones on the doors aren't long enough and the half circle window isn't covered at all. Communication with rental management was quick and efficient. I'd recommend this property.

What a beautiful home! We had 15 people on our ski trip and there were enough rooms and (cozy) beds for everyone. We spent the majority of our time in the game room enjoying ping pong, pool and cards. We also loved the theatre room and hot tub! Kitchen and dining area was large enough for all of us to eat breakfast together each morning. The laundry room was great for washing and drying wet ski gear, and the location worked out perfectly. It was only 30-40 minutes from Snowbird, Alta, Park City and Brighton, and less than 30 minutes from the SLC airport. Communication with the host was easy, and I received check-in and check-out information in a timely manner with no problems. Would definitely recommend to friends and family planning a trip to Utah!

Wendy was wonderful! I did not want to cook on Sunday morning because of fatigue, but desired that the family enjoy a nice breakfast. We ordered breakfast to be brought in, but never heard what restaurant it came from. The fruit platters were plentiful, quiches lasted 3 days, and so did the muffins. The price seemed high initially, but the quality and freshness proved to be worth it. We were impressed that the maintenance people came very promptly when there was a leakage in the kitchen, and when we had a bit of trouble locking the door, and with the automatic gate. It was clean and well-supplied.

Perfect house for our family reunion! Great customer service. They worked hard to fix the video player to accommodate our schedule. We came from four different states, settled in for two days and had a wonderful time-- plenty for the young people to do, and few stairs that worked for my 90 year old mother. We all loved it! Our party of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) stayed in this home for 4 nights and enjoyed all of the space. The house is centrally located and beautiful inside and out. It had everything we needed. So many nice, large bedrooms and bathrooms. The yard is beautiful and children enjoyed playing in the backyard and taking a dip in the hot tub. Plenty of room for parking. Easy access into the gate and house. The kitchen is fully stocked with all basic necessities. Everything functioned well. The large theater room was amazing and a favorite hang out. All of the activities downstairs (pool, card table, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, etc.) were a big hit. The only complaint, and it is minor, is that the WiFi didn't always function downstairs (everywhere else was fine). We would stay here again in heartbeat. What a great house!

We absolutely loved the service from the owner and his company staff (vacation rental company). They were so helpful and suggestive. W actually rented a car from their partnership and saved $200. Regarding our experience at the home, we could not have been any happier. It was well maintained, stocked with supplies and linens and the beds were very comfortable. The fun games and theater were a hit with the kids. We would definitely stay here again. Thank again.

Stunning home! All of our guests were extremely impressed with size, their bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bed could have used an extra blanket, instead of just the sheet and comforter (but that's just personal preference). The kitchen was very well stocked with pans and utensils. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the house! We were on the go all day and didn't return until 6 or 7 in the evening. We had a few team members over for dinner on Friday night and the property had enough room and entertainment for a nice relaxing, comfortable evening -- one you don't find much on the road. I got stuck with the house hunting for this years family visit. Family loved me when we got to this house. Kids loved the back yard, the hot tub worked well and was clean. There was a slight problem with the dishwasher, but no biggie. The basement was so nice. It really was. The ping pong table and pool table were fun, the equipment was in good repair, my husband and kids had a fun tournament together (he lost, still bitter). We defininately would stay here again. You guys have a great house.

The reservation process was simple, the home exceeded all our expectations. Plenty of parking for our whole group of executives. We loved the wide open basement with a bar so we could hold our little gettogether conference with chairs and a nice cocktail party afterward. We would have loved to have more towels for the spa, and one of the bedrooms door got jammed, but other than that, we have NEVER stayed in a place more luxurious and spacious than this place! Thanks so much!

Our 85 year old mother came with us on this trip and the large rooms and wide halls made it a great place for her to get around. We really enjoyed entertaining our family here and would recommend it to anyone.

We were blown away at the luxury and amenities this home offered when we arrived. There were a few minor issues getting the TV to come on, but boy were we impressed! We have since told all our friends and because of this house, want to make coming to Utah for skiing every other year a tradition. Thanks so much, job well done

I just wanted to thank you for the great accomadations. Our group had a really great time and the house had a big part to do with it. We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and the endless activities (theatre room, hot tub, cards, pool, bags etc.). In addition, I wanted to let you know that Steve was a great property manager. He was flexible with our check-in time and was always accessible when I called. He came within 20 minutes to unlock one of the bedroom doors when we accidently locked it from the inside. Again, thanks for the house and the next time we are in town, we'll definitely try to book this house again!
