Chateau Woodlands is a one-of-a-kind private gated estate that offers never-ending amenities! Located south of Salt Lake City near the base of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon, you’re minutes from Solitude, Brighton, Alta and Snowbird ski and summer resorts. Sleeping up to 20 people, 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms are spread between 4700 sq. ft. of the main house and a separate guest house.
Arrive to beautifully manicured grounds with a long driveway providing ample parking and a standard basketball hoop (balls provided). Step inside and take in the 30 ft. ceilings with large window views that bring the seasons to life, defining the very character of the open living room, where two gas fireplaces warm the atmosphere. The main house includes 4 bedrooms / 3.5 bathrooms, a large gourmet kitchen featuring a gas range island, bar seating, ample counter space and two dining room tables that seat 16 (as well as an adjacent patio with table seating for 8). Upstairs features a unique kid-friendly nook complete with a twin mattress, toys, books, stuffed animals and games.
The main house garage has a folding ping pong table (paddles/balls included), a foosball table and outdoor chairs. Ski storage is available to hang ski and/or snowboard gear, complete with boot warmers and long counters to wax and tune equipment. Adjacent is the carriage guest house with a private entrance, king bed, full bathroom, HDTV, kitchenette and private balcony - this can be a quiet retreat from a large group. Below the living space is an awesome game room. The carriage house game room features a 4K Ultra HDTV for gaming, movies and karaoke - yes - karaoke. Play a round (or five) on the foosball tables, or unleash your inner child with unlimited plays. Let’s not forget the dart board fit for tournaments. With a plush sectional sofa and a partial kitchen with fridge, microwave and sink, you have everything you need.
The creek-side backyard lined with trees and multiple sitting areas, a stream and hammock. The secluded side yard has a private hot tub and is perfect after a long day skiing or hiking.

A great place to stay for our large family gathering, with the occupant ages ranging from under 12 months to 3 score plus some years. The detached dwelling that had a game/TV room was a bit hit with the younger crowd. As the weather was chilly, the hot tub (sparkling clean) was well used, as was the gas fireplaces. The location was close to all major grocery stores (whole foods, trader joes, walmart, etc) and the retaining wall dampened noise from the adjacent 4 lane street. This is a beautiful home! It was a perfect place for our family to gather and attend a fancy event in SLC for the weekend. Thank you so much for making it available to us! We did have two things we wish we had known before:The access driveway is right off of Highland Drive, finding it is tricky the first time. The house sits just off of the busy Highland Drive. I also note that the water in the stream in the yard was a concern for our twin two year olds. Funtime for our big family
What a beautiful place to stay! Beautiful house and adorable guest house with losts of fun games and activities for all ages. My favorite feature was the cute stream in the backyard where we were able to watch a mother duck and her ducklings. Not to far from Lagoon and the Hogle Zoo which were the activities we were interested in. We also had a day to just enjoy quiet games, books, and videos as a family. Wonderful Family Gathering

We had a great time. 6 of us stayed here for a ski trip to Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude. It was a short 15-30 minute drive to all 3 resorts. The house was very comfortable and had more than enough room to sleep the 6 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The house was clean, and easy to find. This home was clean, spacious, and had great amenities. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the back patio & in the hot tub. It’s such a beautiful, private setting. Our only complaint is about the bathrooms; we didn’t feel the listing adequately prepared us for a few downsides with the showers… the master bathroom shower was fully viewable from the loft bedroom, the 2nd master didn’t have a shower, only a tub, and the shower in the guest house was a little difficult with a hand held shower head and little privacy with no bathroom door. A Great Time at Chateau Woodlands

We loved the open floor plan and the ability for everyone to hang together. The house was very clean, high end, and well equipped. The only possible criticism is that the 3 upstairs bedrooms, including the 8 person bunk area, only has one shower. There is a 2nd bathroom with a tub, but shower space was a bit of bottleneck. (the property description did mention the tub upstairs, but it wasn't until we arrived that we realized the shower logistics).
All in all, it was perfect for our group. Everyone will fondly recall our ski vacation in Salt Lake.

Nice large family house
We came to Utah for our son’s wedding. House was open and comfortable. Loved the back yard. The guest house was an added bonus, with a game room downstairs. We were all very comfortable. The upstairs of the main house has two bathrooms to three bedrooms. Only one shower. The second master bedroom upstairs has a bathtub. Our group had the best time here! We were in town for a convention in downtown Salt Lake City and it was the perfect distance to be close to the event but still have space to be together for team building. We were a group of 11 staying in this property. We used it as a base for skiing Alta/Sowbird, Brighton, and Solitude. It's proximity to the airport(approximately 20 minutes)and the ski areas( approximately 30 minutes) perfect. The house is large and also features a guest house with a game room on the first floor and a king sized bedroom on the top floor of the guest house. The beds were comfortable and there were extra linens if needed. The hot tub was a welcome treat after a long day of skiing. There were plenty of bath towels and hot tub towels, as well as hand towels in the kitchen. The kitchen in this home was one of the most well stocked of any we have stayed in. The selection of spices was amazing, and there were plenty of dishes, pots, pans , and gadgets. Post Pandemic Family Gathering
Our group consisted of 4 families of 8adults and 5 children under the age of 10. We were very comfortable, each adult couple had a king bed, the children all puppy-piled in the large bunk room. The kitchen was well stocked, and we created many gourmet meals. We loved the spaciousness of our surroundings, but the biggest hit was the game room and kid activities especially the trampoline. It was a parents’ dream! Having the guest house available for the couple who doesn’t have children also gave them a respite from kid chaos. Custom and fully loaded with everything you could ever want. Glad you loved it here. The home has 12 total beds including the fold down futon in guesthouse and the twin pads in the loft and play closet area. There was never 14 beds. Only 12. Great for big groups! Close to mountains!
We very much enjoyed this property and hope to be back next ski season! This place comes just as advertised. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and straightforward. We did have issues with the WiFi and hot tub not being warm enough the first night but both problems were addressed right away and fixed by the morning. This place is advertised as kid friendly, however we were a group of all adults. There was PLENTY of space for us all not to feel like we were on top of each other. We had a blast in the game room with foosball, air hockey, and the karaoke machine! Our main purpose of this trip was to ski and snowboard and we were a short drive away to Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton (about 35 mins to each of the them). That made this location PERFECT for our group. There were also plenty of stores/ restaurants close by for all our grocery needs. An irrigation canal is in the back of the property. Ducks come up and down and sometimes exit the canal and line up to observe you. Lots of fun for children to see them. Yard is large and useful for setting up bad-mitten or volleyball (which we did). Shady in the evening, so it can be used. Great backdrop for family photos. Had absolutely everything we needed for the week. Communication with the host was superb. Directions for checking in and out were clear and concise. A Gem On It’s Own and a Stone’s Throw from Awesome
After another property fell through, our group of 10 on its tenth annual Labor Day trip was blessed to find this amazing house in Murray that gave us everything we needed and then some! A great cozy house with lots of fun amenities - games, hot tub, fire pit and more - that was perfect for our group to wind down from the intense hikes, tubing and stargazing that were all within striking distance of the property. Beautiful and spacious home
This home was perfect for everything we needed while traveling with family friends! The home was super clean, comfortable, well stocked, and was the all around perfect setup for us! A couple things though, not worth giving less than 5 stars, but still might be looked into...... The bed in the guest house is pretty out dated. It's very saggy on both sides. Still slept ok, but it was a little disappointing. Also, in the game room, the Wii didn't work. There was no hdmi cable ran to the tv and the remotes had no batteries. This wasn't a deal breaker, still TONS for the boys to do! But they are a tad bummed. Boys were also super excited to play basketball....but all of them were flat 😔 The yard is absolutely gorgeous and SO relaxing!! Like a little mini sanctuary despite being right on a busy road. Fabulous, gracious home-perfect for families
This house is large, gracious, clean and simply a wonderful place for families. We rented for our family during our son's wedding weekend and it was a wonderful retreat for all, with all kinds of unexpected treats. The space is very comfortable, modern and well organized. Our 3 year olds loved the bunk room and little nooks for play. The garages are filled with games and activities for the kids and the yard had a set up for golf frisbee as well as a trampoline. The master suite is large and gracious, with a huge bathroom. The kitchen worked really well and has everything one could need. The guest house was a lovely extra and provided privacy for our daughter, her husband and their new baby We made use of the hot tub and all the amenities. Perfect place for a wonderful ski trip.
We comfortably stayed at the Bellagio with 12 adults. The kitchen was wonderful, plenty of room for lots of cooking. The pantry was also stocked with TONS of things, it was excellent. The only thing we couldn’t find was Tupperware for leftovers, but no big deal. The house had plenty of living space for the large group to spread out. Comfortable and accommodating for large groups
A large group of us (12 people) stayed for a long ski weekend and found this home to be comfortable, spacious and with the all amenities necessary. It's also conveniently located near the main road up to Alta and Snowbird so less than a 30 minutes drive up to the slopes. Lots of room, accommodates lots of people and keeps the kids entertained!
Easy to follow instructions, comfy and clean. Beautiful yard and lots of fun things to do. This is a party house with lots of games and a hot tub. The property was beautiful! It said it slept 20, but we had 13 adults and barely fit without using fold out couch, etc., which was in the main area of the home). With the 13, one person used the loft in the Master Bedroom, so not much privacy for those 3 in that room, the bunk room (4 people). There are only 2 showers in the main home and one above the garage...tricky getting ready. No real complications. I would say it sleeps 12 adults comfortably as long as 2 people can share a bed in 4 rooms (2 queen size, 2 king size beds), so 8 people sharing beds and 4 people in the bunk room (2 double bunk beds). Unbelievably charming home in an incredible area!
Such a charming home. Very unique and couldn't be in a better location center of SLC, close to freeways and canyons or downtown. Literally just 10-15 minutes from everything. Was very impressed with the house and especially how clean everything was. That is what I look for when I travel! All my needs were met and I felt very warm and cozy during my stay. Wonderful Experience, very charming home
This home is on a big lot with amazing landscape. It is in a very nice Holladay location surrounded by multi million dollar homes and very convenient to everything in Salt Lake.
