The Queen and creator of the Gourd Festival lived here ! It is a unique home with it's foam insulation across metal arches, and it is very energy efficient. It has a very large attached art studio/work shop where Cris did her lovey work on her Gourds, and other art projects, which is not fully enclosed, but seems to keep the elements mostly out. The living space is light and airy with high ceilings and a wood burning stove for heat in the great room, which contains living room and kitchen, and also heats the bathroom and bedroom. New on demand hot water heater. Wonderful views of all that Castle Valley has to offer. There is a very creative spirit in this place. A very mature pistachio tree lives here, and lots of native trees and shrubs.
