Ski and snowboard some of the toughest downhill terrain in the country. Most famous for incredible Alpine skiing and snowboarding. But Snowbird's big mountain bike trail is awesome. The gondola is an amazing experience whether its July or January. There are multiple activity options that are great for the whole family. Snowbird caters to kids and families more than other local resorts. Activities available include the alpine slide, mountain coaster, and Oktoberfest. All great options without breaking the bank.
Oktoberfest at Snowbird begins each August and lasts for eight weeks.
Ride the gondola up to Hidden Peak and hike or mountain bike down. Spend the weekend hiking with the family. Oktoberfest at Snowbird is a must see. It's a little expensive for the food, but amazing! Ski and snowboard on incredible downhill terrain. Getting to Snowbird on the UTA bus is really easy and convenient once the winter season busses kick into service. But an 4WD vehicle is required in winter months. But, you can avoid driving and stop at one of the park ’n ride stops at teh base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The bus is free with a Si Superpass you can purchase from us.

This can save you thousands, and you can enjoy all Salt Lake City offers and not be limited to what is available in the canyon.
The Cliff Lodge
The Cliff Lodge is a wonderful Lodge at the base of the mountain at Snowbird Resort. It offers a newly renovated interior lobby and meeting spaces. The rooms are comfortable with balconies. If you are looking for ski lodging on or near the mountain at Snowbird, Cliff Lodge is a great alternative to renting a private ski vacation home at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon. Cliff Lodge is a bit dated, although it was recently renovated. The pool and hot tubs are nice and inviting for families. It can get quite busy in winter months so be prepared for that atmosphere. Great tip to save money: Many ski groups and families visiting Utah to ski Snowbird for the first time are unaware they can rent a spacious ski home within 15 minutes of Snowbird and save a lot of money, as well as be together all in one home, which can be much more enjoyable.
