We enjoyed this unit alot. The pool table was fun and the mountain location tucked away in this little park-side village is quite quaint and just what I love when I want to getaway and be next to nature. We loved hanging out at the park at dusk and watching the sunsets which are so gorgeous as they light up the face of Big Cottonwood. We would stay again. Thanks!

Nice location, especially if you stay in the winter for skiing.
Place was clean, but very outdated. Beds were comfortable and towels were nice. Carpet was very old and buckling everywhere, our one year old grand baby tripped several times on the uneven floor.
Fridge leaked and we could not get hot water from the kitchen faucet, made it very hard to clean dishes.
We asked for an early check in but were told they could not accommodate but would let us know if it became available earlier. We didn’t hear from them but when we arrived 10 min before check in we could not get in, lock would not work until exactly 4:00. We landed at 10:00am with two little kids that needed naps( which we had told them, thus the request for early check in)at 3:50 it was clearly ready and unoccupied so we were disappointed and it seemed very petty to not allow entry 10 min early.
Overall don’t think we would stay again.

This was a great house and a huge life saver for our family. We had our previous reservation get canceled on us last min. This house was so great for our family, plenty of room for everyone. The pool table downstairs was great entertainment. Also in a great location close to popular places.

The rental itself was nice. There was no backyard! And the parking was very tight! The freezer kept leaking water underneath, even after they came and repaired it. There were also lots of ants coming in the cracks of the kitchen counter.

Great location at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon allowing easy access to ski resorts and Salt Lake Valley. Very clean. Nice master bed/bath suite. Loved the ping pong/pool table and in-law suite on lower level. Very kid friendly (i.e. few knick-knacks for them to break). Only downside to this unit is the inclined driveway, which makes getting in and out a bit of a challenge.

I organize a guys trip to the areas every year, and this location is very convenient to the Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. This unit is professionally run, clean, has comfortable furniture, and the necessary cooking utensils and general supplies.

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Cottonwood Shadows. Space was as described and plenty roomy for our needs. House is in a neighborhood that was convenient to get to ski resorts fairly quickly and lots of options for groceries, ski rental, restaurants within 10-15 min drive.

Pros: Nice, quiet neighborhood. Large, roomy home, gas fireplace, dishwasher/laundry was convenient. Kitchen had pretty much everything we could need for cooking in. Garage available for storing ski gear. Pool table nice extra.

Cons: TV remote wouldn't turn on TV...didn't get that working until our last night but was nice to take a break from screen time. Ants present near kitchen between sink and patio door. Not sure what they could do about that but definitely knocked down our thoughts on the place. House is starting to show its age a bit but we kind of expected that based off of photos.

Overall, decent place which met our needs for convenience to ski resorts.

Great location in Cottonwood Heights, convenient to all ski areas. Nice house that was clean and large enough for 5 adult men. Kitchen was well equipped. Garage is small and driveway is steep, could be problem for large SUV's. Basement had bedroom and bathroom, but could use baseboard heat...only heat was from forced air ducts...not enough. Also had problems with hot water...would go from warm to cold and then to very hot with out warning. Need temperature regulators in showers.

We enjoyed this home and the area. Grocery store around the corner with great restaurants and so close to the mountain it was fun. We got to spend the say at Snowbird and play on their activities they offer there. highly recommend the tram ride to the top. The home is well appointed and so organized and clean. We loved that!
