3 Feet New Snow Pounding Ski Resorts

by Mark Winget
SLC, UT On a day that started with wet roads and overcast cloud cover, the powder gods have sure blessed us in Utah and at all the ski resorts since. Currently over 2 feet of fresh new powder has fallen at all major ski resorts in Cottonwood canyons and in Park City. It is a scene from a wintery January day, not a young March spring day.

All this as swarms of spring skiers continue to flood into the Salt Lake international airport equipped with their ski bags, gear, and backpacks, ready to hit the runs and experience the incredible new fallen snow. Forecast calls for another few feet in the mountains, while the valleys may escape with less than a foot accumulation.

Just when we all thought we would get a break and start seeing the sunshine more often. Skiers have much more time to enjoy what seems to be months more of incredible skiing in Utah. What better way to enjoy the slopes than to rent your own private vacation home or condo in downtown Park City across the street from the mountain resort, and walk to the slope? Homes are filling fast as the last minute push for skiing and spring fun starts to dwindle away. What better way to enjoy a spring break than in the serene outdoors full of fresh opportunity. We will be sure to let you in on all the secrets once we all defrost and dig ourselves out of yet another huge winter storm.
